Explora Lodge Torres del Paine Patagonia Explora Lodge in Patagonia is located in the heart of the Torres del Paine National Park in the Chilean Patagonia, 400 kilometers north from Punta Arenas. It is a national reserve of 242 thousand hectareas of unique beauty and variety of its ecosystem. It was declared Biosphere reserve by Unesco.
In the center of the Torres del Paine National park, near the shore of the Pehoe lake, you will find the Hotel Salto Chico. Conceived and equipped as an exploration center, it includes all the comfort for a great living and it is point of departure to explore the park.

How to get there?
From Santiago de Chile a 4 hour flight to Punta Arenas and our personell will pick you up and take you to Explora Patagonia in a very comfortable Van. The ride takes aproximatelly 5 hours of which 2 and ½ hours are from Punta Arenas to Puerto Natales in a paved way of 250 kilometers and 2 and ½ hours from there to the Torres del Paine National Park by a rustic way of 150 kilometers. The trip includes a stop for a great snack organized by Explora.

Climate
The park has a microclimate conditioned by the nearness of the sea wich allows very comfortable temperatures during winter and summer. During the rainy months the precipitations are not higher than 85mm. Part of these rains fall as snow but it does not affect the touristic atractions.

With lots of mountains that are higher than 3000 meters, the low area of the Torres del Paine park is only 46 meters above the sea level.

Explora Lodge visitors can participate of many multiple explorations that have been designed specially for our guests. You can choose between 5 different daily explorations, selected according to the climate, length and dificulty. By car, horse, walking or by boat. The explorations are made in groups of no more than 10 people accompanied by a bilingual guide and providing all the necesary equipement.

Walks to the Grey Lake Península, to the Glacier Grey, to the Toro Heights, tour to the north of the Park with view to the Blue Lake and BBQ at the Quincho , walks to the Nordenskjöld View Point, walk to the Toro View Point, to Las Cornisas, to Glacier Valle del Francés, tothe base of the Torres del Paine, to Los Aonikenk path, to Sarmiento Lake.
