M/N Skorpios III Cruise – Kaweskar Explorers Route - 5 Nights Has a capacity of 110 passengers. This cruise leaves every Saturday from September to May from Puerto Natales.
Passengers navigate 600 miles towards the Glacier of the Southern Ice Field, furrowing the twisting channels and fjords of the Magallanes region, visiting the Pio XI, Amalia the Asia Fjord and Calvo Glaciers.
We will also visit the village of Puerto Eden, cradle of the ancient indigenous people, the Kaweskar, who navigated through these latitudes fragile canoes. It is to these indigenous people that the Skorpios give tribute, by baptizing this trajectory as the “Kaweskar Explorer Route”.
The M/V Skorpios is equipped with all of the best international cruise ship hotelier. It possesses 48 ample cabins, elegantly decorated, all with low beds, private baths, ambient music, fridge bar (without extra cost), security boxes, etc. Besides this there are Bar for smokers and non – smokers, and an impressive and elegant dinning room were all parties and dinners take place.

PUERTO NATALES/ CAMPOS DE HIELO SUR / PUERTO NATALES
6 Days / 5 Nights (Saturday - Thursday)

Saturday: Passengers are received at Punta Arenas Airport. Check in
In the afternoon, they are transferred to Puerto Natales by coach, arriving at the Skorpios Terminal at 18:00 approximately. Passengers board ship. Welcome cocktail and dinner on board.
18:30 Sailing from Puerto Natales, cruising Patagonian channels, Angostura Kirke, Morla, vicuna channels, Union Bay.

Sunday: We continue to sail on channel Sarmiento, channel Pitt, Channel Conception.
10:00am Arrival at Amalia Glacier, the ship approaches the glacier. Panoramic view from the ship.
12:00 The ship sails north.
19:00 Arrival and Fiordo Antrim, where ship will pump fresh water from a pollution – free river. We will also have the chance to sail motorboats within the fjord. Dinner on board.

Monday: 08:00 Visit to Glaciar Pio XI, sailing in front of the glacier, the largest in South American with an area of 1,262 sq. km; this glacier is located in the Bernardo O'Higgins National Park, the largest in the country.
12:30 Sail for Eyre Bay and Grappler Channel.
16:30 Arrival at Puerto Eden, reached by boat. Two-hour tour visiting this village on Isla Wellington, whose original inhabitants were the Kaweskar or Alacalufe Indians. This village has not streets, only footbridges for visiting local houses or climbing to the mirador. The ship sails at 18:30, on to Paso del Indio and Paso del Abismo.

Tuesday: 09:00 Sailing through Fiordo Calvo, right into the Andes Mountains where we can see four glaciers with different shapes and sizes. Cruise on the Capitan Constantino icebreaker. The ship approaches Constantino Glacier, ice conditions permitting.
15:00 Excursion to Alipio Glacier and Fernando on the icebreaker. In the afternoon we will sail the Fiordo Peel.
17:00 Arrival at Glaciar del Brujo; excursions to glacier rocks. Passengers go ashore to visit and see this enormous ice massif.

Wednesday: 09:00 Visit to Fiordo de las Montanas to see five small glaciers that flow slowly from the mountains to the sea. Visit to the Bernal Glacier.
16:00 Sail to Fiordo Las Montanas, crossing Angostura Kirke to set anchor for the night in Ultima Esperanza Bay. Farewell Party.

Thursday: Sailing through Ultima Esperanza Bay.
08:30 Arrival at Skorpios Terminal at Puerto Natales.
10:00 Passengers leave ship, and are transferred by coach to Punta Arenas.
