Las Hayas Hotel and Resort Ushuaia LAS HAYAS RESORT HOTEL is located in a natural forest of beeches (hayas) of 5 hectares, below the glacier Le Martial, 2.5 km. away from Ushuaia, the southernmost city in the world, capital of the province of Tierra del Fuego.
The hotel is 15 minutes away from Ushuaia's International Airport. This airport has a new runway operating since December 95 allowing the landing of all kind of planes. The Concorde landed at Ushuaia’s airport in the months of January and November 1999 in its charter flight around the world. Ushuaia is thus daily connected with direct flights non stop from Buenos Aires -3.000 km. away, 3 1/2 hour flight- and other regular flights of Aerolíneas Argentinas, Southern Winds.

The hotel has 92 guest rooms (standard, junior suites and suites) and a magnificent presidential suite of 130 square meters.
Once you are at our hotel you will be able to delight yourself with a fresh Antarctic King Crab, our exquisite Black Sea Bass and the best and renowned wines of Argentina. Our "gourmet" restaurant Le Martial, seating 110 people, has a generous view of the Beagle Channel.

For Breakfast and Light Meals we have a more informal option of restaurant, The Drake, seating 110 people. This restaurant extends in a winter garden, with natural vegetation and through its glass ceiling you can see the blue of the sky and the clouds pass by.
Lobby lounge and different seating areas very cozy and comfortably decorated are some of the places to be at the hotel. A very warm fireplace, a library with paperbacks in different languages and also a playing room are different options to enjoy your stay with us after your excursions. There is also a small drugstore for cigarettes and postcards.

For your relax, an ideal place is found crossing a suspended glass bridge with wooden ceiling connecting the hotel with the Health Club, featuring a complete gym, 2 saunas, jacuzzi, steam bath, Scottish shower, Beauty Treatments (with charge). There is also an indoor heated swimming pool with a jet stream. This pool has the same rock of the mountain as part of its bottom . A squash court completes the sports section.
In the premises of the hotel you will be able to go trekking in the forest paths and, very close from the hotel you can practice different sports like cross country skiing, horseback riding, fly-casting fishing. In July 1999 a new downhill skiing resort, Cerro Castor, located 26 km. Away from Ushuaia was opened to the public.
Las Hayas Resort Hotel also has 6 meeting rooms of different sizes and one major Banquet Room for up to 1000 people in an auditorium meeting or 500 people seating in oval tables for up to 10 people.
Ushuaia Mountain Ski Resort, Cerro Castor (poner link) is located 26 km.away from Las Hayas Resort Hotel. Downhill skiing season goes usually from mid June until the first days of October.

From a total of 93 guest rooms we can distinguish four types:
50 standard single / double rooms with an average surface of 30 sq.m. These rooms have a hall, large bedroom, bathroom with tub and hand shower, WC, bidet, wall to wall marble vanitory, hairdryer. The decoration of the room includes a piece of furniture for the bar, another one for the T.V. set, a working desk with chair, a table with two small armchairs, and an individual safe box operated with the same magnetic key card that opens the door of that guest room.
32 superior junior suites with a bigger surface, an average of 40 sq.m., that in addition to the items mentioned above for the standard rooms include a larger and sectional lounge with a comfortable couch, and a "queen Ann" armchair.
3 deluxe junior suites decorated as the just mentioned but with their bathrooms with the shower, the basin and the whirlpool tub in different compartments. This rooms are also equipped with 100% linen towels imported from Portugal
7 deluxe suites with a lounge with T.V. set, bar, working desk, completely independent from the bedroom. This rooms also have their bathrooms sectioned in different compartments and their tubs have whirlpool. They are also equipped with scale, towel bath robe, linen towels, hairdryer. The average surface of these suites is 60 sq.m.
The Presidential Suite has a hall, lounge - dinning room, 2 bedrooms with its own bathrooms, one of them has a large whirlpool tub. The sitting room has a nice fireplace. The surface of this suite is 130 sq.m. The style is shown in its walls covered with coordinated wallpaper and fabrics, matching with the curtains, bedspreads and with the fabrics dressing the tables and chairs. Comfortable beds with sommiers and English country style furniture complete the room's decoration. The bathrooms are also very cozy with walls covered with a mirror, wallpaper and the shower curtains are made of fabric coordinated with the room's decor. All the rooms have towel robes on request.
Given the external extension of the building and its unconventional shape, all the rooms are different for the tourist since their shape and color of decor change from one to the other and the view they offer varies from the Beagle Channel, the attraction of Ushuaia's bay and the view of the Andes covered by snow. Bed linen and towels are 100% cotton imported from Portugal. Blankets are 100% wool.
