DAY BY DAY Itinerary
Day 1 - Arrival in Lima Peru
Reception at the International Airport in Lima, assistance with your baggage and transportation to your hotel. OVERNIGHT IN LIMA
Day 2 – Lima Peru
After a morning at leisure, we will tour colonial and modern Lima, visiting the Unique Vice-Royal mansion (XVIII century), built on top of an archaeological pyramid (VII century). Surrounded by beautiful gardens.
Its masterworks are the worldwide icons in Pre-Columbian art, after have been exhibited for 80 years in the world’s leading museums. This famous museum has the largest and finest gold, silver and jewelry collection of ancient Peru. Its Erotic art collection is one of the most visited Peruvian tourist attractions. Didactic galleries, full of highlights, make easier the comprehension of 3000 years of the Peruvian Pre-Columbian history.
At night we will enjoy our welcome dinner at a first class Peruvian restaurant.
OVERNIGHT IN LIMA
Day 3 – Flight Lima to Cuzco -- Sacred Valley
Early breakfast and transfer to the airport in Lima. We fly to Cusco and continue to the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Visit the local village of Pisac, known for its colorful market, and the massive fortress of Ollantaytambo.
Visitors should take a short rest in order to adjust to altitude.

Day 4 – From Sacred Valley to Machu Picchu
Early this morning we will board the Vistadome Train bound for Aguas Calientes, gateway to Machu Picchu.
We have plenty of time to begin our explorations of this mysterious citadel with our guide and on our own. At night we will enjoy a unique dinner at Sanctuary Lodge.

Day 5 – From Machu Picchu to Cusco
The morning is free for our own explorations.
After lunch, we transfer back to the train station for our Vistadome ride bound for Cusco.

Day 6 – Cusco Peru
Today we will embark on an afternoon city tour of colonial Cusco and explore archaeological sites such as Sacsayhuaman, a testimonial to Incan architectural skills and Tambomachay, a sacred bathing site.

Day 7 – From Cuzco to Lake Titicaca in Bolivia
We fly to La Paz, continuing to our hotel on the shores of Lake Titicaca.
Here, we are introduced to the folk culture of the local Indian community at the Andean Roots Eco Village.

Day 8 – Lake Titicaca
We will travel today to Huatajuata/Copacabana by land and cross the Tiquina Straits by private motorboat. There we will enjoy panoramas of Bolivia from the top of the Copacabana peninsula and after a visit to the Copacabana shrine, return to Huatajuata by hydrofoil to explore the Inca’s “Divine Lake,” the highest navigable waterway in the world. Visits include Copacabana, the “fountain of youth” on Sun Island, the Uros Iruitos Floating Island and Quewaya Sustainable Tourist Project, where the last remaining members of the local tribe have found a way to continue their traditions and ancestry. Tonight, visit the Alajpacha Native Observatory for a presentation of the Southern Constellations

Day 9 – From Lake Titicaca to La Paz
On our wa to La Paz, we will pass by Tiwanaku, considered to be the “cradle of the American civilization.
OVERNIGHT IN LA PAZ
Day 10 – La Paz Bolivia
Enjoy today a city tour including the witch doctor’s market and the Valley of the Moon in Bolivia’s badlands. Tonight we’ll meet for our farewell dinner.

Day 11 – La Paz – Back Home
Private transfer to the airport in La Paz for our homebound flights
