Lake Titicaca Peru
The Titicaca Lake (Lago Titicaca) located at 3,820 m.a.s.l, is cradle of the Tiahuanaco culture, which developed on the plateau of the Collao. According to the Inca legend, from the dark waters of the Titicaca Lake (most highest navigable lake in the world) emerged Manco Capac and Mama Ocllo to establish the Inca Empire. More than 25 rivers empty into Titicaca, and the lake has 41 islands – some of which are densely populated. Titicaca is notable for a population of people who live on the Uros, nine artificial islands made of floating reeds. These islands have become a major tourist attraction for Peru, drawing excursions from the lakeside city of Puno. Another island, Taquile, is another tourist attraction featuring a different indigenous community. The Taquile locals are known for their handwoven textile products, which are some of the highest quality handicrafts in Peru.

Iquitos Peruvian Amazon
Iquitos is the largest and populated city in the Peruvian jungle. Situated on the shores of the Amazonas, Nanay and Itaya Rivers, in the province of Maynas of the department of Loreto. Iquitos was founded in 1750 by a Jesuit mission. Then came the rubber boom within the 19th century. In one of the corners of the main square you will find the famous house made out of iron and designed by Eiffel himself. The excursions in the jungle can be divided in two kinds: Visit the jungle lodges that demand some walking into the jungle and campsites. Hike like this can take anything starting from 45 minutes up to 4 hours, with comfortable equipments and good food, guided visits to the villages and Indian tribes of the area, where it will be possible to observe the variety of flora and fauna. The other one is having trips on boats along the Amazon jungle river exploring deep inside.
